We run the following at various points throughout the year:
Holiday Clubs
Home Education groups
Alternative education opportunities for children with flexi schooled or unique educational programs via Somerset Council.
In school sessions during term time: Schools can email or call
School visits to our sites
INSET days for outdoor learning for school staff
Forest school is an umbrella term for all outdoor learning. It has a history of boosting self esteem, confidence, independence, spiritual and moral understanding. Outdoor learning supports in reducing behavioural issues, inspire learners and allows children to use their own style and approach to tasks. Glastonbury forest school embeds and observes the three prime areas of learning: Communication and language, Physical development, Personal, Social and Emotional development. We also focus on specific areas of: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the world and Expressive arts and design within every session. There is so much more that is included such as Science, Environment, Geography and so on, but many of these subjects that you will have heard from when you went to school are naturally embedded within the above prime and specific areas of learning and development. Students support one another in group work and gain independent achievements in every session.
