The under 5'sThe under 5's love the outdoors. They are busy developing in all areas including balance, creativity, knowledge of their world, and playing with others.
10.00 - 12.00 The 'Stay and play' morning appeals to parents with babies and beyond. It gives you the parents the opportunity to chat to one another, share ideas and network. Your children will have the chance to free play in the outdoor environment or indoor as we have a wooden hut for rainy or cold days. You will receive an organic yummy snack and a drink for all parents and children. 12.30-3.30 'Forest school session' in the afternoon is aimed at children aged between 2& 1/2 and 5 years old. Children typically take part in a walk, a guided task where they can use their own learner style, story telling, singing, climbing and some free play each session. Children should bring a packed lunch or you can pay an additional £2.50 for soup, a roll and a piece of fruit. You are welcome to attend with your child however, staff are all qualified and DBS checked. You may wish to attend a session with your child so they can adapt to Forest school. Typical Forest school session might be: 'What I can do with a stick' Session1: Musical sticks Session2: Star and wizard wands Session3: Hobby animals Session4: DIY tent / shelter and teddy bears picnic |
