Well it's been a tricky summer with land issues and the weather, but we are all on track for ensuring that Forest school, Outdoor learning can be an 'all year round' experience.
We have the opportunity to graze some alpacas and sheep.... coming soon. We have opened an area of willow coppice, which is beautiful and provides plenty of opportunity for climbing, shelter building, use of wood and so on. We have the yurt arriving soon with a wood burner to ensure there is a dry and warm retreat during the wetter and colder months.
This is potentially one of the most exciting seasons on the Somerset levels, with the mist rolling and creeping across the panoramic, changes in wildlife and fauna, and of course the way the autumnal sun hits the landscape. There is plenty to do and to learn during this magical time of year.
